Alix Lake Recreation Area & Campground
Alix Lake, at the South end of Main Street
Season: May 15 to Sept.
Located on beautiful Alix Lake, home to the 2001, 2002 & 2003 Provincial Wakeboard Championships. The Alix Campground offers 11 sites with 15A power. Kids playground, horseshoe pits, and hiking trails around the lake are examples of some of the recreational opportunities present. Wheelchair accessible. Washrooms with loonie showers. Reservations taken.
The Lake itself is ideal for swimming, boating, and waterskiing, and is stocked with spawning size Northern Pike. A boat launch provides easy loading and unloading access for boaters.

Named after famous French pilot and balloonist Louis Bleriot, this is one of the last remaining cable-operated ferries in Alberta. Service alternates on demand between the north and south banks of the Red Deer River, running seasonally from 8am-10:40pm from break-up to freeze-up. No cost.

Coin operated showers and washroom service available, sani-dump facility available, free firewood supplies, playground equipment, picnic shelter and easy access to our 11 km paved trail system (for walking, running, cycling, rollerblading.) Tea Room, and some campstoves available, day-use area, tap water.
